A small kind if pidgeon that wanders around here at Curacao. They are pretty weird to see, I only found out that it actually were pidgeons after I saw the pictures I took. The way they walk (very nervous in weird zig-zag patterns) made me think at first that they were some kind of little shore bird. How wrong I was

while walking to Jan Thiel in Curacao (it’s a saltlake with flamingo’s) I found this dead dog beside the road. I think it lay there for quite some time since there were just skin and bones left.

Well, my first time carnaval, Caribbean style. The first day I had about 300 pictures (battery gave up after that), the second day around 450 (memory cards were stuffed). A small selection I found fit for my blog, so here goes !

All pictures were made with available light. Overday the light here is pretty much killing (had the backlightside during the parade ;P ) during the night it was again killing due to all the different combinations of lights used (whitebalans was almost impossible to get right, so I thought I just leave it like this).
